I own several pair of shoes designed for comfort and effective walking in various surfaces. On the day I visited the Tamayong Prayer Mountain, I wore a pair of thin-soled flats with little arch support. Strolling around the scenic space in my black flats was enjoyable for my eyes but unsafe for my feet.
As I continued to dawdle on the designated passage, I noticed that there was a gap in the pathway. Forty five distinct stepping stones bridged the gap of the sidewalk. After I took the photo, I had an experimental walk on the stepping stones. It was not easy getting from point A to point B in those flats; my gait looked awkward as my foot tread on the stepping stones. Ahhh… hindsight… I should have worn a thick-soled sneakers.
