Pansat for Lunch

Early in the morning, the prawn lady named Sarita delivered these two giant tiger prawns (Penaeus monodon) and some whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) fresh from the sea. The tiger prawns are about 10 inches long while the shrimps are about 5 inches long or less. These decapod crustaceans are some of the marine life found in the waters of Panguil Bay, Philippines. One of the prawns tried to jump out of the basin as if guessing that they’re the main ingredient for a dish scheduled for lunch.
